With this one step test a drug user can get quality detection of COC and benzoylegonine (metabolites found in the urine.) The test cutoff is 300 ng.ml. That is the same cutoff as the SAMHSA redommended assay cutoff.
This this relies on detection of benzoylecgonine, because that metabolite has a longer biological life than cocaine. It remains in the body for 5 to 8 hours. The user of this test can get results in 3 to 5 minutes.
This test is based on the immunochemical reactions between antigens and antibodies. It involves the dipping of a test strip into the urine sample. When reading the results, one wants to see two color band in the result window; that indicates that no COC has been detected.
Note: The color of the Test band may be lighter or darker than that of the control band.
Tip: Do not immerse the strip past the maximum line.
Warning: The urine specimen should be retested or confirmed with a more specific alternative method. Without such a retest, no positive determination should be made. |
